She was born in Sharpsburg, Md., and was a daughter of the late Vernon Lee and Minnie Aleshire Petefish.
Mrs. Griffith grew up in Stanley. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Her husband, Clyde Elmer 'Grif' Griffith, preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Clydette Lobred of Springfield and Patti Griffith of Clifton Forge; a son, Steven Michael Griffith of Clifton Forge; five grandchildren; seven-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred, Conrad, Paul and Grandville Petefish; and four sisters, Iva Short, Pauline Campbell, Katherine Purdham and Anna Belle Campbell.
Burial was in the Mountain View Cemetery in Clifton Forge.
