Born at Six Mile Run on April 11, 1910, he was a son of Charles and Virginia (Davis) Snyder. He was united in marriage to Nancy Grace Kinser on January 11, 1934, at Cumberland, Md.
Surviving are his wife, his mother of Six Mile Run, and the following children; Mrs. Floyd (Ruth) Reighard of Martinsburg; Mrs. Delford John (June) Zelanko of Six Mile Run R.D.1; Mrs. Robert Scott (Jean) Smith of Riddlesburg; Mrs. William (Dixie) Behm of Arlington, Va.; John Eldon Snyder Jr. of Honeybrook. There are 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Also surviving are these brothers and sisters; Shannon Snyder of McKeesport; Glenn Snyder of Six Mile Run; Gerald Snyder of Alexandria; Joseph Snyder of Greenville S.C.; Mrs. Gladys Axon of Huntingdon; Mrs. Mae Ritchey of Everett; Rose Border of Everett; Mrs. Mary Dean of Hesston and Mrs. Nola McFarland of Everett. One brother preceded him in death.
The deceased was a member of the First Church of God, Six Mile Run.
He was employed with the Eastern Trucking Company of Bedford for the past 15 years.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 11, at 2 p.m. from the First Church of God, Six Mile Run. The Rev. R. Keith Smith will officiale and interment will be made in Duvall Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Masood funeral chapel, Saxton after 7 p.m. Friday and until 9 a.m. Saturday and then at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of the services.
