Alex L. Dixon
Graveside funeral services for Alex L. Dixon, 73 of 9021 e. Dinuba Ave. were
held last Saturday at Floral Memorial Park. The Rev. Gordon Johnson officiated
with Thomas-Robinson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He died Oct.
26 in a Kingsburg hospital.
A native of Gause,Texas, he moved to Kingsburg in 1920 and to Selma in 1931.
Mr. Dixon worked in farming and for PG&E as an electrician until his retirement
in 1968.
He is survived by his widow, Stella Dixon of Selma; four daughters, Betty
Vaughn of Gustine; Doris Head of San Jose; Florence Morton of Fresno; and Ellen Porter of Kingsburg; four sons, Richard Dixon of Tennessee; Raymond
Dixon of Selma; Ronald Dixon of Fresno; Donald Dixon of Fremont; 29 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
