Ellen was born in WI to parents Lewis and Mary Johnson both of Norway. Her mother was still living in IA at time of her death.
She may have been married before Joe Dashner to William Freeman by whom she had two children, Mabel & William. She had one other child w/Joe Dashner, a daughter Lenora who was listed as an orphan on the 1910 census at the House of the Good Shepherd in Milwaukee.
Her obit does not give name of cemetery but, her brother Henry Johnson whom she was living with at time of death is buried in Kingsley, along w/her sister Louise Johnson-Bainbridge, and her son William Freeman 1892-1942.

Ellen Johnson was born in Adams county Wisconsin, in 1868, and died in Perry; Iowa, Oct. 2, 1910, aged
42 years, 9 months and 11 days, of pleurisy and cancer; She married Mr. Joseph Dashner at Grand Rapids, Wisconsin.
Five children: Mrs.Bert Shearer and Mr. William Freeman, both of Kingsley; Edward and Lyleof Necedah, Wisconsin;, and
Miss Lenore, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; her husband; her mother, who is 77 years old; four brothers, Henry, Joseph,
Martin and John; and one sister, Mrs. Louise Bainbridge, are the immediate relatives left to mourn her loss. The
funeral service was conducted by Rev. Norman McCay, in the. M. E. church, Thursday, Oct. 6th.
