Gerald W. Christensen Sr., age 79 of Mountain, WI, known to many as “Snuff” or Monkey”, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Jerry was born on July 13, 1940 to the late Ivan and Irene (Kitzman) Christensen in Maple Valley, WI.

On October 29, 1960, Jerry married Georgia Ozechowski.
For many years Jerry worked as a millright, a local 139 crane operator, owner of his construction company, and attendant of the Town of Riverview Recycle Center. Jerry was especially proud to have been a part of the latest Lambeau field construction. When not working, Jerry greatly enjoyed fishing, hunting, and racing, both stock car and off road.

Jerry is survived by his 3 children: Jerry (Karen) Christensen, Mark Christensen, and Tim (Beth) Christensen;
4 grandchildren: Drew, Randy, Cassie, and Logan (Winter);
7 great-grandchildren: Bryce, Gracie, Kallie, Nathan, Hailey, Meah, and Maddisyn;
3 sisters: Diane (Terry) Payette, Jackie (Paul) Bort, and Carolyn (Gordon) Kruse;
a brother Byron (Sue) Christensen. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Georgia in 2003; twin infant daughters: Tina and Dawn; grandson Jeremy; 3 brothers: Ivan (Barb) Christensen, Gene Christensen and Allen Christensen; a sister Colleen Christensen.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2020 at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring from 3 pm until the funeral service at 6 pm. Jerry will be interred beside his wife in Frostvile Cemetery.
