STURBOIS, Pearl L. (Bollinger) age 92, of Beavercreek quietly passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at The Hospice of Dayton. Born in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She came to Beavercreek in 2003 from Newport Richey, Florida and lived at Trinity Retirement Community. She is preceded in death by her parents Theophile Leonard and Edna Ford Leonard; her first husband of 20 years, John P. Bollinger, to whom she was married in July 1943 in New Orleans. Their marriage ended with his unexpected death in August of 1963. On her birthday, September 11, 1965 she married her second husband Ernest J. Sturbois and was married for 34 years. Their marriage ended with his death in October, 1999. She is survived by her brother, Karl Leonard of Golden Meadow, Louisiana; sister, Rosalie Lancaster of Phoenix, Arizona; sons, John (Patricia) Bollinger of Key West, Florida, and James (Laureene) Bollinger of Beavercreek, Ohio; stepdaughter Gail Breneman of Marysville, Ohio; stepson, Mark Sturbois of Portland, Oregon. 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Pearl grew up in New Orleans and moved to Grove City, Pennsylvania shortly after her first marriage and then to Mount Vernon, Ohio in 1958. After retiring from Cooper Energy Services, Pearl and Ernest, moved to Newport Richey, Florida. In 2003 she moved back to Beavercreek to be close to her family and friends. She loved to travel and was an excellent cook. She was especially fond of her native Cajun cuisine. She loved to visit and entertain her many friends and family. She lived a full and happy life. In memory of Pearl a donation may be made to any Hospice location or a charity of your choice. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
