Billie J. Nees, 68 of Brazil, passed away November 17, 2005, at St. Vincent Clay Hospital. She had been a resident of Holly Hill Healthcare Facility for the past four years. She was born May 17, 1937, in McCroy, Arkansas, the daughter of Hobson and Lilly Matthews Crony.

As a young lady, she worked as a waitress in the Crown Point area, where she met and later married Earl Nees. They married on June 14, 1958. They moved to the Brazil area after they married. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She was a member of the 3 "C" Club, she volunteered at the Clay County Hospital and enjoyed
playing Bunco and Bingo. She also enjoyed trips to Branson and was a baseball fan.

She is survived by her two sons, Rodney Nees and wife Terry and Greg Nees and wife Teresa; four grandchilden, Erica Spears, Ryan Nees, Paul Nees and and Adam Nees; two greatgrandhchildren,Hunter J. Todd and Parker B. Spears; two nieces and one nephew; one sister, Katie Heath of Crown Point; and one sister-in-law, Barbara L. Reeves of Greencastle.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Paul and DeMoine Nees; one brother James "Bud" Crony; her husband Earl Nees passed away
Nov. 1, 1995.
