He spent most of his life in Monongahela. Retired from U.S. Steel, Donora Works. He belonged to the local AARP, chaper member of Phi Alphi Sigma Club.
He belonged to the First Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Betty) Young; two daughters, Dr. Karen Shuma of Pleasant Hills and Mrs. George ( Nancy) Swanek of Washington; five grandchildren; two brothers, J. Glenn Young of Roswell, N.M. and Robert Young of Upper St. Clair.
He was preceded in death by a brother, George Young and a sister, Bertha Dunlevy.
Friends are being received in the L. M. Frye Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Sunday, March 28,1982
