William R. Kent, Sr., passed away Thursday evening (January 15, 1942) at six-thirty o'clock at his home, 218 Orchard Avenue. Mr. Kent had been in failing health for the last four years but death was unexpected.
He had been engaged as baker at the former Smith & Seeley Baking Company for thirteen years. Mr. Kent was a member of People's Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Alta Kent; five sons, Keith, William R. Jr., Richard and Robert Kent, Olean, John Kent, Wellsville; three grandchildren; also, three brothers, John Kent, Lambert Kent, this city, Howard Kent, Orchard Park, N.Y.; and a sister, Mrs. B.F. Allen, Ebenezer.
The Rev. Daniel N. Place, pastor of the People's Methodist Church, will officiate at the services. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
