Born Feb. 28, 1912, at Tippecanoe, he was the son of Alva and Mae GOUCHENOUR SHUNK. His marriage was Aug. 2, 1933, to Helen GRIFFIS, who survives.
Owner and operator of the Shunk TV Sales and Service since 1955, Mr. Shunk had resided in the Mentone area since 1927. He was a member of the Kosciusko County Fraternal Order of Police.
Also surviving are two brothers, George [SHUNK], of Argos, and Merl [SHUNK], of South Bend; one sister, Mrs. Ruth GOODRICH, Baltimore, Md. One brother preceded in death.
Final rites will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the King Memorial home in Mentone. The Rev. Norman McVEY will officiate. Burial will be in the Mentone cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
