Johnny Andrew Alexander, 80, of 18 Dianne Avenue, husband of Sarah Helen Lollis Alexander, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late George Washington and Celia McGinnis Alexander. A veteran of the U. S. Army, he retired from Stone Manufacturing and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Alan Alexander (Theresa), of Pelzer, and Wade Alexander (Sheri), of Williamston; sister, Georgia Shiflet, of Anderson; brother, Fred Alexander, of Pelzer; grandchildren, Tiffany Alexander, Caleb Alexander and Kati Alexander; and great-grandchildren, Skyler and Kadence.
He was predeceased by his twin sister, Mary Alexander; sister, Sallie Mahaffey; brother, Edgar Alexander; and grandson, Robbie Wise.
Visitation will be 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial following at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Pelzer.
