Malcolm E. Barnhart died at Wyoming Valley Hospital after a long illness. He was a son of Frank and Isabel (Bray) Barnhart of West Pittston. Was a graduate of West Pittston High School in 1945.
Mr. Barnhart was employed as a truck driver for Independent Explosives, Inc., Scranton. He was a member of District 50, UMW and Construction Workers. He was a member of First Congregational Church, West Pittston.
Surviving, besides his parents, are his wife, former Clare Rader; children, John, Patricia and Loretta; a sister Edna E. Barnhart; brothers, Donald D. of Falls Church, VA, and Murray F., of Iselin, NJ.
Rites were held at the Harold E. Howell Funeral Home, 509 Wyoming Ave, West Pittston. Rev. James R. Williams officiated.
