Virginia was the daughter of Harry and Elizabeth(Lizzie) McClear Satterwhite. Her paternal great great grandfather John S Satterwhite was a Revolutionary War soldier in the Virginia 10th regiment. He served in the war from 1777 to the end of the war. He received a land grant for his service in the war and moved to Franklin County Ky in 1783. Her maternal great great grandfather was Captain Robert Tyler, a Rev War soldier who moved to Shelby Co KY with Squire Boone in 1779. He served under Captain William Harrod and under George Rogers Clark during the Illinois Indian raids.
Virginia went to the old St Patrick Catholic School downtown. She said that a boy put her in the garbage can in school one day! She lived to joke. Virginia married Joseph Louis Head and they had 3 daughters. Lois Ann Head(Wagner), Martha Jane Head(Hamilton) and Elizabeth (Betty) (Beckmann, Deerwester).
Virginia never missed a chance to have a good time. She loved life and enjoyed playing cards.
The day she died she went dancing with her boyfriend Red Parker.
