Phines L. VanBuskirk
ABILENE - Phines L. VanBuskirk, 92, Abilene, died here Wednesday morning.
Mr. VanBuskirk, who had been a merchant at Carneiro and Hutchinson and a guard at the former Hutchinson Naval Air Station, came to Abilene eight years ago.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Fern Hollenbeck, Abilene; Mrs. Ethel Ulrickson, Geneseo; Mrs. Marie Bates, Grand Island, Neb.; Mrs. Alice Gourley, Herman, Neb. and Mrs. Winifred Mahoffey, Wichita; three sons, James H., Hobbs, N.M.; Robert J., Ontario, Calif., and Walter, San Francisco, and a half-sister, Mrs. Lena Gibson, Stillwater, Okla.
The funeral will be at 2pm Saturday at the Danner funeral home, Abilene, the Rev. Stanley Barnes officiating. Burial will be at 3:45 pm at the Carneiro cemetery.
