John & Annie moved to Oregon to live with their son Roy. In 1945 John died, perhaps from a heart attack down in the canyon about a half mile from the house, his bones not found until maybe eight year later. Cremated, his ashes were with the family and eventually his ashes were buried with his wife Annie when she was buried in Saint James Cemetery, an unrecorded burial.
