Benjamin T. Strube

CLAFLIN - Benjamin T. Strube, 62, died Monday at the Central Kansas Medical Center, after a long illness. Born July 6, 1910, at Emporia; he married Thelma Jacob, July 31 1934, at Abilene. He was president of DS&W Well Servicing Inc. and had been a resident here for 27 years. A son, Dale B., preceded him in death in 1966.

He was a member of the First Methodist Church, Claflin; Masonic Lodge; former member of the School board and Claflin City Council.

Survivors include the widow, of the home; three sons; Robert, Joseph and Artur, all of Claflin; a daughter; Mrs Morris (Coette) Litzenberger, Great Bend; two brothers; Paul, Cape coral, Fla; John, Rago; three sisters; Mrs Harold Frost, Lubbock, Texs, Mrs H.J. McFarland, Hays, Mrs Eunice Archerd, Bethlehem, PA. 12 grand children and three step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church with Rev Henry Gursing officiating. Burial will be in the Claflin Cemetery with Masonic graveside services. Friends may call at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, from 3 until 9 pm. Tuesday and from noon until serice time Wednesday at the church in Claflin. The family suggest memorials to the Claflin Fire Department.
