She was a very active in and charter member of the Big Spring Vietnam Memorial Committee. She served as secretary for ten years and was chair person of every dedication ceremony.

Survivors include her husband Timothy Thomas "Tim" Drinkard; two children, Timothy Michael "Tim" Drinkard and Sherida Lee Crane; three grandchildren, Everly Richardson, Candice May Drinkard and Austin Nickels Drinkard.
