Many are sad to learn of the death early Wednesday morning of Columbus C. (Lummie) Pitts, age 75. Mr. Pitts was a lifetime resident of this community and resided on his farm on Linley Creek a few miles east of town. A large crowd of relatives and friends, many from other communities attended his funeral and interment at Antioch, Thursday afternoon. Rev. A. T. Mahanay delivered a fitting funeral discourse and tribute to his memory. Hutcheson-Blue undertakers were in charge. We extend sympathy to the bereaved.
