His death was sudden and unexpected at his home at the young age of 48.
David was a 1981 graduate of Jonesboro High School and attended Arkansas State University. He loved golf, water-skiing and music. In high school and college, David was an accomplished pole vaulter and cross-country runner. He was a carpenter by trade.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie Dannelle (Cherry) Frisk of Silverhill, Alabama; his daughter from first marriage, Haley Lynn Frisk-Stanley of Birmingham, Alabama; his father John F. Frisk of Jonesboro, Arkansas; mother & step-father Charlotte L. & Delbert W. Layne of Orange Beach, Alabama; his sister & brother-in-law Sabrina Diane (Frisk) & Gregory S. Stanley of Birmingham, Alabama and stepbrother Rusty Layne of Pensacola, Florida. Several neices and nephews, two uncles and three aunts, plus many cousins who will all miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, step-sister Shelia D. Layne Nelson and three 1st cousins; L. Lynnette Rape Parker, Rodney Franklin "Baby" Peterson and James Allen Peterson
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday March 31, 2012 at Pine Rest Funeral Home in Foley, Alabama.
