Mary A Burleson

Mary was the daughter of Joel and Catherine Shoemaker, one of five children. She married David G Burleson on 24 Mar 1869 in Michigan. David was a veteran of the Civil War, serving with Co D 11th Michigan Infantry.
After his discharge, David spent two years in Council Bluffs, Iowa; working in the grain and produce business. He returned to Michigan to marry "Addie", and after their marriage they moved to Council Bluffs, where they lived until 1869.
In 1869 they moved to the town of Villisca, where David continued to work in the grain and produce business.
Known children are Homer and Clarence, who died in infancy, and a daughter, Clara Isabel.
David died in 1899, a few days before he would have turned 57 years of age. Mary died in 1931, one day after her 82nd birthday.
