She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Ness. She married Henry Halverson at Fargo, ND on March 24, 1909. They lived in Fargo a year, then homesteaded in Divide County, ND near Fortuna. They moved to Daniels County in 1927 and bought a farm in the Crow Creek area 29 miles NW of Scobey. They had lived in Scobey since 1952.
Surviving are her widower; four sons, Elmer and Art, both of Scobey, and Irvin and Ruben, both of Peerless; two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Arneson of Havre, and Mrs. Ann Caywood of Los Angeles, CA, and Mrs Ida Solberg of Haley, MN, 17 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
