MALCOLM BRODERSEN IS BURIED AT HERMAN

Funeral services were held December 30, at 2 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Herman for Malcolm Franklin Brodersen, who died December 27, 1980. Burial was in the New England Cemetery at Herman. Malcolm Franklin Brodersen was born August 19, 1916, in Herman to Sadie Cameron Brodersen and James Brodersen. He attended Hillcreek and Brodersen Schools. In 1939, he married Margaret McQuarrie. He farmed near Herman until 1946 and then farmed near Craig, Nebraska until 1955. He worked in Creighton and Omaha and was residing in Herman at the time of his death. He is survived by two daughters, Susan Ann Brodersen, Des Moines, Iowa and Mrs. Joe (Polly Jane) Goecke, Omaha, Nebraska; and one son, Robert Malcolm Brodersen of O'Neill, Nebraska. Three brothers, Riley Brodersen and Charles Brodersen of Herman and Robert Brodersen of Tekamah; one sister, Mrs. Carroll (Mary) Van Valin, Wakefield, Nebraska; and three grandchildren, David and Amy Brodersen and Kristen Goecke, also survive him. Pallbearers were Brady Green, LaVerne Mintken, Jim Hancock, Ervin Clements, Roy Hansen and Herman Matzen.
