Mrs. Clara Catherine Beers of Shippenville RD 2 died at 5 p.m. Saturday at her home. Born July 13, 1892, in Paint Township, Clarion County, she was a daughter of Samuel E. and Mary Cook Kiser. She was married Sept. 23, 1909 to Curtis C. Beers who survives. Mrs. Beers was a housewife by occupation and was a lifelong member of Manor Methodist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Clarence C. Beers of Shippenville RD 2, John Beers, retired colonel of USAF in Orland, Fla.; five daughters, Mrs. Virginia B. McCrory of Meadville, Mrs. Raymond (Muriel) Bates of Greenville, Mrs. James (Bertha) Harsoni of Greenville, Mrs. Charles (Esther) B. James of Greenville and Mrs. David (Mary Louise) Kelly of Orland, Fla.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, William H. Kiser of Shippenville RD 2 and Clarence C. Kiser of Greenville. Her parents, a sister and five brothers preceded her in death. Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-8 p.m. today and Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Louis Pomrecke of the 1st Methodist Church of Clarion officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Shippenville.
