JAMES TRAVIS COLEMAN James Travis Coleman age 85, of Temple died Tuesday February 28, 2006 at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date at Holland Cemetery in Holland, Texas Mr. Coleman was born in Temple, Texas the son of James H. and Freddie Swanzy Coleman. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of W.W. II. He was a pipe fitter and was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union #529 in Waco for over 50 years. Mr. Coleman was a long time member of V.F.W. #1820 in Temple. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Coleman is survived by five children Sammie Kenyon of Edna Oklahoma, Jill Davidson of Livingston, Texas, James Coleman of Temple, Texas, Kelly Coleman of New Well, Iowa and Gloria Beam of Pasadena, Texas. He is also survived by two brothers Stanley Coleman of San Angelo, Texas and Forrest Coleman of Ingram, Texas 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made to the V.F.W. Post #1820 3302 Airport Road Temple, Texas 76504. Scanio-Harper Funeral Home of Temple is in charge of arrangements.
