Mr. Holzapfel with his late brother, Henry, operated for many years, the Holzapfel Lumber Company in RD 1, Finleyville. He was a World War I veteran and was a member of Morris Ritchie Post of Finleyville.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Helen Bibb of Milton Ind., Mrs. Norma Ackman of New Eagle; three sons, Harry D. of RD 1,Finleyville, H. Paul of Cedarsburg, Wis.,a twin brother, Christy W. of Marietta, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Heath of Wilson, Pa., Mrs. Frieda McDonald of Euclid, Ohio; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildred.
His wife Maria (French) Holzapfel preceded him in death.
