Stafford: Emmett L. DeSelms, 52, farmer and stockman southwest of here, died at 2:30 am Thursday in University of Kansas Medical Center where he was taken six days before.
Mr DeSelms was born near here Nov 23, 1905. Survivors include his widow, Florence; a foster son, Keith Doggett, Wichita; a niece whom the DeSelms raised, Mrs Milton John, St John; his mother, Mrs Fannie DeSelms, and a sister Mrs Eva Sloan, both of Los Angeles; two brother W J , Lamar, Mo, and Herbert, Mesa, Ariz, and two grandchildren. Funeral will be a 3:30 pm Sunday at Peacock and Soice Chapel with Rev Charles Chandler and Rev Clifford Haugwell officiating. Burial will be in Stafford Cemetery. The family requests donations be made to the Cancer Fund in lieu of flowers.
