Mary DeJarnett
Mary Alpha DeJarnett, 92, of Bainbridge Island died Aug. 25, 2001, at Martha & Mary Health Care Center in Poulsbo. She was born Dec. 10, 1908, in St. Boniface, Manitoba, Canada, to Anselme and Leonida (Morency) Landry. She was a 1928 graduate of Stanwood High School. She was a housewife and enjoyed traveling and knitting. She was a Catholic.
Survivors include two brothers, Raymond Landry of Shoreline and George Landry of Kirkland; three sisters, Rita Rockstad of Bainbridge Island, Hermene Conner of Seattle and Imelda Oliver of Auburn. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindley DeJarnett in 1962; and seven siblings, Ernest Landry, Lucien Landry, Paul Landry, Victor Landry, Eva Jensen, Meriza Bell and Ida Landry.
A rosary will be said at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Cecelia Catholic Church on Bainbridge Island. A funeral Mass will be follow at 11 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Riverton Crest Cemetery in Seattle. Arrangements are under the direction of Kass Funeral Home on Bainbridge Island.
