DIES MONDAY
Thomas R.[maybe Henry] Todd, 87, died yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at his home, 201 South Franz street.
Death came rather suddenly, as he apparently had been convalescing from a lingering illness.
The deceased was a Civil War veteran, having served through all of the war in the 28th Illinois Infantry. He also saw service on the Mexican border after the war.
He moved to a farm north of Tonkawa with his family in 1899, coming from Iowa, where he had moved from Topeka, Ill.
Eight years ago he moved to Tonkawa, where he had made his home since that time.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Anna Todd of Stillwater; two sons, Earl of Tonkawa, and John Todd of Portland, Ore, and one sister, Mrs. J.J. McCluggage of Augusta, Kans.
Funeral services probably will be held in the Methodist church Friday.
