He was born Jan. 19, 1947, in New Eagle, a son of the late Joseph A. and Louise (Dominick)O'Hern.
A lifelong resident of the New Eagle and Monongahela areas, he was a 1965 graduate of Monongahela High School and was employed at the O.K. Grocery Division of Giant Eagle Inc. Pittsburgh Division as a warehouse supervisor. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church, Monongahela. He served as president of the New Eagle Soccer League.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy (Biddle)O'Hern;one son Patrick O'Hern of Monongahela; one daughter,Toni O'Hernof New Eagle; two stepsons, Justin and Lambert Hillman, both of New Eagle; one granddaughter, three sisters Mary Delestienne of Bethel Park, Mrs. Anthony(Emma) Viscuso of Monongahela and Mrs. Lloyd (Josephine) Douglas of Charleroi; and two brothers,Joseph P. O'Hern of Florida and William O'Hern of Monongahela.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister,Rita O'Hern.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. Frye Funeral Home Inc. 427 West Main St.,Monongahela.
