Sarah Blanche Elliott Neely, 89 of Pearisburg, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 19, 2012, in High Point, N.C.

Mrs. Neely was born December 22, 1922, in Lurich, to Mary Hubble Elliott and Auther E. Elliott.

Blanche graduated Valedictorian of Glen Lyn High School. Blanche was a member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church, where she was actively involved as Sunday School Teacher, Vacation Bible School Teacher and Ladies Circle Member. Her life was devoted to her family, her friends, and her Lord and we celebrate the beauty of this well lived life. Never has such a kind, loving woman passed so humbly through our lives. She was truly a loving wife of 50 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam and favorite son-in-law, Richard; sons, Alex and wife, Sue, and Teddy and wife, Pat; four grandchildren, Brian, Katie, Sara and Rachel; and three great-grandchildren, Sam, Ella Grace and Henry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Neely; daughter, Estella Neely; sisters, Ruth Anderson, Virgie Mullins; brothers, Raymond Elliott and Sam Elliott.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Pearisburg Baptist Church in Pearisburg, with the Rev. Jeremy Quist officiating, with burial following in the Birchlawn Burial Park in Pearisburg. The family will receive friends at the Givens Funeral Home from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Pennybyrn at Maryfield Retirement Living Community, 1315 Greensboro Road, High Point, NC 27260.
