Mrs. Clark, 70, Dies Early Today; Rites Tuesday Mrs. Bertha Clark, 70,, of 423 Harding Street, died at 2:45 a.m. today at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital following a short illness. A native of Pulaski County, she was born March 14, 1901, and was the wife of the late John W. Clark. A resident of Danville since 1924, she was a member of First Baptist Church and the Community Club. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. CG Heuser, Ft. Oglethorpe, Ga. Mrs. Leamon Stephens and Mrs. Lowell Meade, both of Louisville and Mrs. Edward Mayes, Danville; two sons, James and Edward Clark, both of Danville; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Qdell Leigh, assisted by Dr. Austin Roberts. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. The body is at Stith Funeral Home where friends may call.
