Evelyn Polly Cordell Crabtree Bishop, 61, of Rt. 1, Pine Knot, Ky., passed away Tuesday morning, November 9, at the St. Lake Hospital in Fort Thomas, Kentucky, following a lingering illness. She was the daughter of the late Louis Cordell and the late Erma Bell Jarboe Cordell Faulkner, and was also preceded in death by one sister, Arlene Daugherty. She was a member of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Bishop is survived by her husband, Perry S. Bishop of Rt. 1, Pine Knot, Ky.; one daughter, Mrs. Dewey (Reba) Keith of Stearns, Ky.; five sons: Louis Dean Crabtree of Ontario, Ore., Charles M. Crabtree of Strunk, Ky., Foster Lee Crabtree of Whitley City, Ky., Bill Ray Bishop of Pine Knot, Ky., and Bob Bishop of Independence, Ky.; two sisters: Mrs. Carl (Virginia) Boyatt of Oneida, and Irene Cordell of Stanford, Ky.; three brothers: Johnny Cordell of Black Canyon City, Ariz., Aubry Cordell of Strunk, Ky., and Victor Cordell of Pine Knot, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today (Thursday) November 11, at the New Light Baptist Church, with Rev. Leroy Terry and Rev. Ronald Duncan officiating. Jack Cordell, Judy Cordell, Janice Privott and Remmie Cordell will sing. Burial will follow in the New Light Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Bill Boyatt, M. C. Boyatt, Dean Cordell, Jack Cordell, Louie Cordell, and Arvil Daugherty. West-Murley Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. (Source: The Scott County News, 11 Nov 1982, p12)
