She was born near Claysville on November 26, 1888, a daughter of George W. and Augusta Emma Henderson Beck, and spent most of her life in the Claysville vicinity.
Mrs. Powers was a member of the Zion Evangelical United Brethren Church and the Ladies Missionary Society of the church.
She is survived by her husband, Inghram Harley Powers, whom she married on August 11, 1906, and a son, Harley Irwin Powers of Claysville R.D.# 2; a granddaughter, Connie Ruth Powers; and a sister, Mrs. Juanita (David) Ashton of Valley Grove, W. Va.
