Glenn A. Davis, 88, of Omaha,Texas, passed away March 10, 2012, at Clairmont Nursing Home in Longview. A military graveside service is at 1 p.m. today at Hogeye Cemetery in Celeste with Tommy Willess officiating.
Curry-Welborn Funeral Home, 2256 N. Edwards Ave. in Mount Pleasant, is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Davis was born July 9, 1923, in Celeste, son of Elroy Theodore "Dode" Davis and Buena Mildred Friddle. He served in the United States Army Air Corps.
Survivors include four daughters, Glenda Foley of Macon, Ga., Helen Oleta Davis of Alvarado, Bonnie Elaine of Akron, Ohio, and Sandra Nannette Laprade of Spearfish, S.D.; four sons, Alton D. Davis of Longview, Jon T. Davis of Hallsville, Ira Neal Davis of Monroe, La., and Joe Dale Davis of Omaha, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
His parents, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.
