Concordia -- The funeral for Sister Wilfred Jacobs, 87, Nazareth Motherhouse, Concordia, will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Nazarene Motherhouse Chapel, the Rev. LeRoy Metro officiating. Burial will be in the Motherhouse Cemetery.
Sister Jacobs died Saturday at St. Joseph Hospital, Concordia, following a lengthy period of ill health.
She was born and baptized at Holy Cross Parish, Pfeifer, Kan., in 1892.
She entered the Sisters of St. Joseph and pronounced her vows at the Motherhouse in 1910.
She taught music in schools operated by the Sisters of St. Joseph in Beloit, Aurora, Chicago, Gladstone, Mich., and Salina.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anne Breit, Sterling, Colo., and Mrs. Bridget Leiker, Munjor, Kan.
A bible service will be held in Nazareth Motherhouse Chapel at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Friends may call at the Nazareth Motherhouse, Concordia.
