Albert S. Able Dies at Charleston

St Matthews, Oct 18 [1941] -- Albert S. Able, 54, died very suddenly in Charleston from a heart attack. He was the son of the late Dr and Mrs A. R. Able of St Matthews.

Mr Able was born and reared in St Matthews. He attended the Citadel, and later entered the World War, where he was the assistant paymaster of the Sixth division. For the past 20 years, he has held a responsible position with the Port Utilities in Charleston.

Surviving are his widow, the former Miss Elizabeth Eismann [Elizabeth Eisenmann Able 1988-Dec 1975, Charleston] of Charleston; two sisters, Miss Lora Able and Mrs Harley Able Davenport, both of St Matthews, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, October 19th.
