Bennie was the son of Joseph Herman Baggenstos and Anna Maria Mueller. He married Ora Louise Oberg.

Bernard Henry Baggenstos: A funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Tigard for Bernard Henery Baggenstos, who died Oct. 30 at age 81. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, in Young's Funeral Home. Mr. Baggenstos was born Oct. 6, 1919, in Sherwood. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army in the Philippines. He owned Bernie's Drywall, a building and sheet rock installation business, for more than 30 years before his retirement about 1990. He was a member of the church. In 1949, he married Ora Louise Oberg; she died in 1995. Survivors include his daughters, Cecilia Cullison, Janiene Bruce, Joanie Kruse, Theresa Baggenstos and Lisa Erb; sons, Tom, Toby and Peter;
brothers, Ed, Martin and Frank; sisters, Elizabeth Baggenstos, Anne McDonald and Margaret Sambuceto; and 10 grandchildren. His daughter Cathy Franze died in 1995.
