She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Elsie Williams of Pekin, Illinois; and one brother, Elster Caldwell of Ada, Oklahoma.
She is survived by the Rev. James Ford, her husband of 67 years; three daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Ricky Evans of Calion; Linda and Cecil Polk of Norphlet; and Diane and Denny Barrett of Searcy; six grandchildren, Schelley (Jose') Covas, Bud (Terri) Evans, and Brandon (Kerri) Polk, all of Norphlet; Chris (Melissa) Polk of Wooster, Raegan (Brent) Jordan of San Antonio, Texas, and Rane Barrett of Conway; twelve great-grandchildren, Caylie Covas, Evan Covas, Tripp Evans, Tucker Evans, Creighton Polk, Hayes Polk, Mathis Polk, J. T. Polk, Mitchell Polk, Ryan Polk, Barrett Jordan, and Ryleigh Jordan; several nieces and nephews; many friends; and the loving staff at Timberlane Health & Rehab.
The Rev. Zach Roberts officiated at a celebration of her life, at 10:00 a. m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at the Norphlet United Methodist Church, where she had been a long-time member. Interment was at Rest Havens Memorial Gardens by Young's Funeral Directors.
Pallbearers were her grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation was from 6 to 8 p. m. March 20, 2012, at Young's.
