Carrie Louise Wright, 85, of Amarillo died Monday, March 19, 2012.
Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Zybach
Cemetery at Allison. Arrangements are by Cox Funeral Home, 4180 Canyon Drive.
Louise was born March 6, 1927, in El Dorado, Okla., to William Wallace and Georgia Anna Wise. She was a past resident of Allison, where she graduated high school. She married Harold Wright on May 27, 1946, in Dumas.
She was a homemaker who had been a volunteer with hospice in Dumas. She moved to Amarillo in 1991, where she was known for donating clothes to homeless shelters and making Barbie doll clothes for the Ronald McDonald House. She enjoyed quilting and
gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Wright in 2002 and a
daughter, Ann Nelson in 2009.
Survivors include a
daughter, Janie Haley; a brother, Bill Wise; and two grandchildren, Amy Nelson and Paul Taylor.
