Rites on Saturday
at Sugar Grove

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Sugar Grove Conservative Friends church for Mrs. Mary Jane Peacock, age 88, of Sugar Grove, who died at her home on Wednesday evening following an injury to her head received in a fall at her home on Monday night of last week. Burial was in Sugar Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Peacock is survived by two daughters, Miss Ruth Anna Peacock and Mrs. Everett Heald, both of Sugar Grove; six sons, Elwood, Maurice, Walter and Herman of Sugar Grove and Galileo of Galena, Kansas, and Eli of Cardington, Ohio.
Mrs. Peacock, a birthright member of the Conservative Friends, was born in Randolph county, near Lynn, Indiana, the daughter of William and Ruth Johnson. She was married in 1865 to Abram Peacock, and with their family, Mr. and Mrs. Peacock came to live in the Sugar Grove community in 1887. Mr. Peacock passed away in 1903 and since his death, the daughter, Miss Ruth Anna, and son, Walter, have continued to live at home with the mother.
