George J. Collis

George J. Collis, age 81 of Emerald, Wis., died suddenly Sunday, Sept. 13, at his residence.

George was born on Nov. 5, 1927 in Kinnickinnic Township to parents John and Henrietta (Deans) Collis.

George is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris; children, Michael (Ruth) Collis, Vickie (Jim Adams) Collis, John (Susan) Collis, Linda (Eric) Berry, and Thomas (Betty) Collis; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; dogs Duchess, Willie and Little Girl; and Maynard the cat; sisters, Mildred, Florence and Shirley; as well as several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

George was preceded in death by his son, Steven; grandson, Shaun; brothers, Warren and John; and sister, Irene.

George will be remembered for his great ability to fix things, find humor, and always being ready for a game of dice.

Funeral services for George Collis were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin, Wis. Visitation was one hour prior to the service, and also from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday evening at the O'Connell Family Funeral Home in Baldwin. Interment will take place in the Warren Cemetery, Roberts, Wis.
