Mrs. Mattie Williams, who has been ill for a long time passed away early Friday Jan.5, 1950,

her sister Mrs. Laura Skillman of Fort Worth has cared her for the pass 2 years. Rev.R.R.-

Williangham of Fort Worth preached the funeral, at the Methodist Church. Saturday Afternoon

interment was in Poe Prairie Cemetery. She is surirved by one daughter, Mrs. Maud Washburn

of Breckenridge, and serveral grandchildren.

The Bible is in the possession of Barbara Nance, third great-granddaughter of the couple.

County Census. J.W. was 20 and Martha was 22.



Martha was known as Grandma Williams,Aunt Mat,or Aunt Mattie. At the age of 19 she married J.W.McDaniel in Tennessee they had seven children one child survived,after the death of J.W.McDaniel,She moved to Millsap,Texas where she meet and married John W. Williams.
