Elsabein was the daughter of Hermann Heinrich Konig (b. 27 Nov 1778 in Ladbergen) and Anna Kattarina Elisabeth Ruthenschroer (b. 11 May 1780 in Ladbergen) of Ladbergen. Both parents died in Ladbergen. Elsabein and J.H.W. KAETTERHEINRICH were married 26 July 1837 in Ladbergen, Germany.

The Auglaize Co. Death Record states her death date is 03 Feb 1883, age 68 Y 2 M, and lists her name as Elisah, wife of H. Katterheinrich, died of lung fever. The death date on her tombstone is 02 Feb 1883.

Immigrated in 1838 from Ladbergen with her husband, a Farmer.

A confusing entry appears in the book, Gemeinde Ladbergen, Auswanderer der Gemeinde 1830-1930, pg. 23: "Kotterheinrich, Johann Heinr. Wilhelm *26.08.1810, Knecht, mit Ehefrau Anna Christ. Elisab. geb. Konig *25.11.1814 ~ 1848 USA"

1. Wilhelm Johann KATTERHEINRICH (called William J.) was born in 1838 "auf der ocean." William J. died April 27, 1865 at camp, during the Civil War and was buried at Baltimore, Maryland. William J. married Elizabeth Wierwille on 15 May 1862. New Knoxville's wagon making industry had its beginning at the hands of Wm. J. Katterheinrich during the late 50's. Prior to this time most of the wagons had been built at New Bremen. Mr. Katterheinrich set up his shop on Spring Street, which was later converted to a dwelling and in 1936 was the property of Mr. Katterheinrich's daughter, Mrs. Dr. S. H. Sibert. Shortly after he had begun the business, he was joined by his brother, Henry, as apprentice, who had mastered the trade when Wm.J. was called 11 Feb 1865 to defend the Union, going to camp, contracting typhoid, and was buried at camp. His daughter, Flora, was born after he departed for the war and he never saw her, however, she kept the letters he wrote to the family during his war service. Flora married Dr. Samuel H. Sibert. Wm. J.'s widow, Elisabeth Wierwille remarried to Christian LUFT and had 3 children: Amelia, Amanda and Anna. Christian Luft died 5 Jan 1872 and Elisabeth then married George HOLL in 1873 and had 2 children, Olga and George Holl Jr.

2. Heinrich Wilhelm KATTERHEINRICH was born May 1, 1841 at N.Knoxville and christened at the U.C.C. on 31 May 1841. He married Friedericka Bielefeld and had 5 daughters and 3 sons: Sarah, Caroline, Flora, Melinda, Fr. Christian, Anna L., George H. and Albert.

3. Elizabeth was born about 1843, appearing in the 1850 Census as 7 years of age. She does not appear in the 1860 Census.

4. Marie Olga was born 19 September 1847 and died 30 March 1923. Mary married Wilhelm H. Aufderhaar on 3 February 1870 and had 10 or 11 children: Herman, Sophia, Emma, Caroline, Mary, Frederick, William, Benjamin, Lewis, and Dorothea.

5. Hermann H. Ludwig KATTERHEINRICH was born September 10, 1848 at N.Knoxville and died March 31, 1931 at N.Knoxville, OH. Hermann was buried at Pilger Ruhe cemetery. He married Sophia Maria Kotterheinrich, his 4th cousin once removed, and had 4 sons and 2 daughters: Wm. Wesley "Pony Bill", Maryann Caroline, Conrad Wesley, Samuel B., Christian D., and Lidia E.

6. Adolph Solomon KATTERHEINRICH was born October 11, 1850 at N.Knoxville and died April 10, 1899 at N.Knoxville, OH. Adolph was buried at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Eisley on 27 Aug 1872 and had 12 children: William George, Anna Mary, Dora E., Ella Matilda, Rebekka Amelia, Wesley Frederick, Martha Mgdalena, Jacob Conrad, Daniel Conrad, Harvey Solomon, Noah Phillip, and Elmer Emanuel.

7. Frederick KATTERHEINRICH was born in 1853 at N.Knoxville, OH. He married Maria Sophia Lammers and had 5 daughters and 2 sons: Anna, Ludwig or "Lewis," Ida, Martha, Barbara, Sophia, and Edward.
