Bessie Lee Goings Barber, 83, a native of Mt. Hermon, and a resident of Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Franklinton, died at 12:35 a.m. yesterday in Riverside Medical Center. She was a member of Bogue Chitto Baptist Church and was the widow of Latimore Barber. Survivors include four daughters, Helen Barber of Prattville, AL, Faye Bates of McComb, MS, Linda Hughes, of Brookhaven, MS, and Brenda Milton of Mt. Hermon; four brothers, Henry Goings, Adrian Goings, both of French Settlement, Elton Goings of Livingston, and David Goings of Denham Springs; two sisters, Jessie Lee Pepper of McComb, and Betty Jean Graham of Franklinton; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by three grandchildren; two brothers, A.T. Goings and Milton Goings; and a sister Ethialee Goings. Vistation will be held at Crain Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. tommorrow until time of the funeral service, to be conducted from the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. The Rev. Joe Wiggins will officiate at the service. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
