Sister Mary Matilda Bernard, an Ursuline of Cincinnati, in Baptism Margaret Mary preceded in death by her parents Henry and Matilda, her brothers Paul, Edward, Richard and Joseph survived by sisters Sister Mary Henry OSU, Mary (William) Faller, Anne (Ferd) Kopp, brother John (Tammy) and sister-in-law Emma Lou Bernard and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Sunday, October 28, 2001. Age 75.
Entered St. Ursula Convent in 1944,along with her twin sister, Helen Marie Bernard, the future Sister Mary Henry Bernard.
Received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Athenaeum of Ohio and a
Masters in Education in Library Science from the University of Cincinnati.
Taught at St. Monica School 1947-1957, St. Francis de Sales School 1957-
1961, All Saints School 1961-1963 and Our Lady of the Visitation School 1964-1966.
Taught at SUA and served as the librarian for 31 years from 1966 until her
retirement in 1997.
Managed the SUA gardens and created materials for the Sisters' gift shop.
Organist at liturgies for the Sisters.

Visitation Wednesday, October 31 at Saint Ursula Convent from 5 P.M. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 6:30 P.M. Burial on Thursday, November 1, Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
