PHILLIPS, Alice M. 83, of Lake Wales, departed this life March 14, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Edlow Phillips Sr.; grandchildren, Angela Lynn and Dennis Wayne Phillips; brothers, Elmer, Ernest, and Kenneth Pollock; and sisters, Mildred Niles, Lucille Fiddler, and Dorothy Neese. She is survived by her children, James Byrd (Barbara), Jerry Byrd (Linda), Thomas Phillips (Lynn), and Linda Townsend (Curtis); siblings, Melvin Pollock, James Pollock (Jean), and Peggy Elliott (Buddy); 55 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She loved fishing, hunting, and especially spending time with her family. A Celebration of life will be held Monday, March 20, at 11 am at Hopewell Funeral Home, 6005 CR 39 S., Plant City, where the family will receive friends beginning at 10 am. Interment will follow in Pelote Cemetery, Lithia.
