She was born on January 11, 1902 in Wisconsin to William and Lucy Dolan. She was united in marriage to Charley Snodgrass on June 27, 1925. He preceded her in death on July 21, 1985. Gladys had been a school teacher in Wisconsin early in her adult life. She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women's Circle in Kentucky.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. L.S. Weakley (Dr. Sam Weakley) of Louisville, Kentucky; two sons, Charles (Vicki) Snodgrass of Georgetown, Kentucky and Byron (Rosemary) Snodgrass of Palm Harbor, Florida; 11 grandchildren, Christina Snodgrass, David Snodgrass, Daniel Snodgrass, Stephanie Walters, Greg Snodgrass, Stephen Weakley, Sam Weakley, Dr. Barbara Jones, Dr. Melinda Knight, Leigh Hamblen and Kevin Healy; 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Kentucky on Friday. Graveside services were Monday, May 10, 2004 at the Dell United Methodist Cemetery with Pastor Jean Waldron officiating.
