BELMONT - Shirley B. McMillan, 92, a resident of Stanley Total Living Center and formerly of 1124 Acme Road, died Saturday, March 17, 2012.
She was born in Pacolet, S.C., a daughter of the late Copher and Louie Green Brown.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned Lutz McMillan; and a son, Marshall McMillan.
She was a lifelong member of Centerview Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Gregory B. McMillan of Mount Holly; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and extended family, Joann and Michael Biggerstaff of Mount Holly.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. McMillan will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 19, 2012, at Centerview Baptist Church with the Rev. Robbie Moore officiating.
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Memorials may be made to Centerview Baptist Church, 2300 Acme Road, Belmont, NC 28012.
Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly is serving the McMillan family.
