Charles E. Hill, 81, died Thursday noon, September 13, 1934 at his home in Caton where he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of Isaac Edwin and Harriet Tobey Hill. He was a lover of music, being an accomplished pianist and wrote many musical compositions during his early life.

On September 28, 1879 he was married to Harriet Bostwick. They celebrated their golden anniversary five years ago.

He is survived by his widow and six children: Mrs. William Kaufman of Canandaigua; William Hill of Troy, Pa., Mrs. Roscoe Gregory and John Hill of Caton; George and Ruth at home; a sister, Mrs. Libbie Phillips and a brother Clarence Hill both of Ithaca, also 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral services will be held at the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock the Rev. J. C. Hazelton of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery at Caton.
