La Farge, Wis. (Special) - Alva Miller, 52, died Sunday in a Madison hospital.
Miller was born in Clinton Township, Vernon County, Sept. 7, 1900, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Prentis Miller. He lived most of his life in and around Dell, Wis. He married Ella Appleman Dec. 20, 1920.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Dennis of Madison and Ronald, at home; one daughter, Mrs Donald Statler, Cashton; three brothers Fay and Lester, La Farge and Bernard, Cashton; four sisters, Mrs. Sever Thingstad, Madison, Mrs. Oscar Clark and Mrs. Evan Major, both of Cashton, and Mrs. Carl Stoikes of La Farge; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Dell EUB Church, the Rev. John Larson officiating. Burial will be in the Dell Cemetery. (Handwritten note died February 8, 1953)

LaFARGE — Funeral services for Alva Miller, 52, who died Sunday at a Madison hospital, will be held at 2:30 p. m. today at the Dell Evangelical - United Brethren church, the Rev. John Larson officiating.
Burial will be in the Dell cemetery. Mr. Miller lived all of his life in Vernon county. He was married to Ella Appleman on Dec. 20, 1920.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Dennis, with the Marines in California, and Ronald, at home; a daughter, Mrs. Donald Stelier, Cashton; three brothers, Fay and Lester, LaFarge, and Bernard, Cashton; four sisters, Mrs. Oscar Clark, Cashton; Mrs. Sever Thingstead, Madison; Mrs. Evan Major, Cashton, and Mrs. Carl Stoikes, LaFarge and three grandchildren.
